Shoppers in Kazakhstan are used to paying with Kaspi, so sooner or later every online store, online school or booking service asks how to connect Kaspi Pay to its website. There are several ways to do it, and they differ a lot: you can put a payment link on your site in one evening, or you can set things up so that an order is marked as paid automatically and sent to 1C.
At Studio Nomad, we connect Kaspi payments to the websites we build: Kaspi Pay runs in the online stores of AK ZHOL PHARM, Florex, MOTOEYE and Amanat Market, and Kaspi QR on the websites of Hawaii water park and the Jaryq education portal. Below we walk through three ways to accept payments, the connection steps, Kaspi Red and the Kaspi.kz Store API, as well as the most common mistakes.
Kaspi updates its terms from time to time. This article reflects what is published on kaspi.kz and in the Kaspi Guide for partners as of October 2026. Check the current version before you connect.
In short: three ways to accept Kaspi on a website
| Method | How the customer pays | What the website knows about the payment | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Remote payment link | Follows the link, enters the amount and confirms the payment in the Kaspi.kz app | Nothing: payments are reconciled manually | Landing pages, service websites, prepayment for requests |
| Remote payment invoice | Receives an invoice by phone number and pays it in the Kaspi.kz app | Nothing: a manager issues and checks the invoice | Orders that a manager confirms first |
| Website integration | Places an order on the website and confirms the payment in Kaspi; the amount comes from the order | Receives a confirmation and updates the order status on its own | Online stores, online schools, services with a personal account |
The first two methods are available as soon as you connect to Kaspi Pay. The third requires a separate agreement with Kaspi and changes to your website.
What you need before connecting
- A business in Kazakhstan. According to the Kaspi Guide, any organization that sells goods or provides services in Kazakhstan can connect to Kaspi Pay: sole proprietors, LLPs, farms, property owners' associations, notaries, lawyers and private bailiffs. You must be 18 or older.
- The Kaspi Pay app. Kaspi describes the process in three steps: download the app, register and start accepting payments. That is all you need for a payment link or a remote payment invoice.
- Fiscal receipts. Kaspi reminds partners that under the Tax Code of Kazakhstan, customers must receive a fiscal receipt for any purchase made with Kaspi QR, including remote payments by invoice or link. This requires a cash register; Kaspi Kassa can be connected for free in the Kaspi Pay app.
- Clear purchase terms on the website. Prices, delivery and return terms, the seller's contacts and company details, and a personal data policy. Customers need to understand what they are paying for and how to get a refund.
- Server access for an integration. For an order to be marked as paid automatically, the website must receive and verify payment notifications on its own server. On a website builder without that access, all you can do is add a link.
Option 1. A payment link: up and running in one evening
In Kaspi Pay, you can get a remote payment link and share it in messengers, on social media or on your website. On a website, this is usually a "Pay with Kaspi" button on a service page or in an order confirmation email.
How it works
- You connect to Kaspi Pay and get a remote payment link in the mobile app.
- You add the link to your website.
- The customer follows the link, enters the amount in the Kaspi.kz app, adds a message if they want and confirms the payment.
- The cashier gets a notification in the mobile POS. The payment confirmation shows the customer's name and message.
Limitations
- The customer enters the amount. It is easy to get the price wrong, and you will have to sort out underpayments and overpayments by hand.
- The payment is not tied to an order. To know what a payment is for, ask customers to include the order number in their message and match payments to orders.
- One link per point of sale. A link is generated for each point of sale, not for each product or order.
- Kaspi Red+ may not be available. Partners who connected Kaspi Red+ after July 1, 2025 can accept link payments only from Kaspi Gold.
A link is enough for a landing page with prepayment, consultation bookings or a few orders a day. Once orders pick up, manual reconciliation starts eating up hours.
Option 2. A remote payment invoice by phone number
The second option is to send the customer an invoice. In the mobile POS of the Kaspi Pay app, the cashier enters the customer's phone number and the amount and sends the invoice. The customer sees it in the Kaspi.kz app and pays it.
- 24 hours to pay. If the customer does not pay the invoice within that time, it is canceled automatically.
- More ways to pay. Besides Kaspi Gold, the customer can pay the invoice with Kaspi Red+, bonuses, in installments or on credit, if the seller has these products connected. To accept Kaspi Red+ payments remotely, Kaspi recommends issuing an invoice.
- The amount is exact. It is set by the seller, not the customer.
In this setup, the website's job is to take the order and notify a manager right away via Telegram, email or CRM. The manager checks availability, issues the invoice and marks the payment by hand. This works well where every order is confirmed by phone anyway: made-to-order furniture, expensive electronics, services that need a quote.
Option 3. Integration: on-site payment with automatic order status
An online store needs a flow with no manual work: the customer places an order, pays through Kaspi, and the website learns about the payment on its own. For companies, Kaspi has a separate product for accepting payments with Kaspi.kz, and online stores are among the business categories listed on its page.
Steps on the business side
- Submit an application in the business section of kaspi.kz for accepting payments with Kaspi.kz. The form asks for your business category, city, company name, IIN or BIN, contact person, phone and email.
- Sign an agreement with Kaspi.
- Start accepting payments once the website has been set up.
According to Kaspi, funds from these payments are credited the next day, and you receive a daily report on accepted payments. There is no publicly available technical documentation for this integration on the Kaspi website, so the details are clarified after you apply.
What the developer does
- creates an order with a unique number and amount on the website before the customer goes to pay;
- sends the customer to pay in Kaspi and brings them back to the website, where they can see the order status;
- receives the payment confirmation on the server, verifies that it is genuine, and only then marks the order as paid;
- sends notifications to the customer and the manager and passes the paid order to 1C, MoySklad or a CRM;
- handles cancellations, refunds, and duplicate or lost notifications;
- tests everything with test payments before launch.
This setup runs in our projects: in the AK ZHOL PHARM online pharmacy and the MOTOEYE store, customers can pay with Kaspi Pay or Halyk, and in the Expert Plus personal account, clients pay off their debt online and the balance updates automatically.
Kaspi Red, installments and credit on your website
For expensive items, the option to pay in installments often decides whether the purchase happens. But Kaspi Red+ has its own connection requirements:
- only the head of the company can connect Kaspi Red+ in the Kaspi Pay app;
- you need a sales history of at least 20 days of sales with Kaspi Pay in the last 2 months, and the app shows a counter for this;
- Kaspi may decline the application, and each case is decided individually;
- Kaspi Red+ is not available to every partner via a payment link, but it is available via a remote payment invoice;
- before signing the agreement, check with Kaspi whether installments are available for integrated website payments and how much accepting them costs.
A separate tool is the "Buy on credit" button for sellers on the Kaspi.kz Store. It is a widget for a product page on your website: you add a block to the page code with the product's SKU on the Kaspi.kz Store and the store ID from the seller cabinet settings. When customers click it, they go to your product card on the Kaspi.kz Store and apply for Purchase Credit there. Keep in mind that in this case the purchase takes place on the Kaspi.kz Store, not on your website.
Your website and the Kaspi.kz Store: syncing via the API
A search for "Kaspi store integration" is usually about something else: how to manage products and orders in one place if you sell both on your own website and on the Kaspi.kz Store.
- Requirements. To sell on the Kaspi.kz Store, you need to be a Kaspi Pay partner with at least 20 days of sales through Kaspi Pay in the last 2 months. The head of the company connects in the Kaspi Pay app.
- What the API can do. According to Kaspi, the Store API lets you add products, process orders and get information about them, for example change an order's status to "Issued", and connect the Store to your own accounting system. Data is exchanged in JSON format.
- Authorization token. The head of the company generates it in the web version of the seller cabinet, in the settings. Share the token only with your own technical specialist: anyone who has it can retrieve order and product data from your cabinet.
- Accounting systems. Kaspi lists 1C, Rkeeper, Paloma and Umag among the software the Store can be connected to.
A typical setup: prices and stock levels are managed in 1C or MoySklad and flow from there to both the website and the Kaspi.kz Store, while orders from both channels are collected in one admin panel or CRM. For how these integrations affect the budget, see how much an online store costs in Kazakhstan.
Pitfalls
- Marking an order as paid when the customer returns to the site. If the website treats an order as paid just because the customer landed on the "Thank you" page, anyone can "pay" for an order without paying. The status should change only after the server has received and verified a confirmation.
- No fiscal receipt. The receipt requirement also applies to remote payments. Decide in advance who issues the receipt and how: Kaspi Kassa, an online cash register or your accounting system.
- Manual reconciliation that does not scale. A link is convenient at the start, but as orders grow, it should be replaced with an integration.
- A website without server access. On a website builder, you can add a link, but connecting payments to orders and 1C can be difficult or impossible. Sometimes moving the website costs less than building workarounds.
- Breaking Kaspi Pay rules. Partners may not, among other things, inflate prices or refuse a purchase paid with Kaspi Pay, delay or cancel delivery, or give third parties access to Kaspi Pay. Violations can lead to restrictions up to termination of the partnership. So do not add a surcharge for paying with Kaspi on your website.
- Only one payment method. Some customers pay with cards from other banks, and companies pay by invoice. Kaspi is usually complemented by bank acquiring, such as Halyk ePay, and invoice payment for legal entities.
- Unvetted intermediaries. Some third-party services issue Kaspi invoices on your behalf. Before using one, check the agreement: who is responsible for the money and customer data, and what happens if the service shuts down.
- Nobody maintains the integration. Kaspi, banks and 1C update their services. An integration without support will stop working one day, often on your busiest day.
How much it costs and how long it takes
On Kaspi's side. Under the Kaspi Pay tariffs as of October 2026, connecting and opening an account are free, and so is the first month of the subscription fee; after that, a monthly subscription fee and a commission on accepted payments apply. For accepting payments with Kaspi.kz, the commission depends on the company's line of business, and for online stores the services are priced separately. Check the exact terms for your business in the Kaspi Pay tariff plan and your agreement with Kaspi.
On the website side. At Studio Nomad, integrating an existing website with Kaspi and 1C costs from 150,000 ₸. The final price depends on the scope: payments only, or also product, stock and order exchange with 1C and the Kaspi.kz Store. For a new store, payment setup is part of the estimate: a turnkey online store costs from 900,000 ₸. You can pay for development in parts with our installment plan without banks or overpayments.
Timelines. You can add a link to your website on the day you connect to Kaspi Pay. With an integration, most of the time usually goes not into code but into the application, the agreement and coordination with Kaspi, so submit your application while development is underway.
How we connect Kaspi to websites
- Audit. We look at what the website is built on, whether there is server access, and which systems are already in place: 1C, MoySklad, CRM, other payment methods.
- Choosing the setup. Sometimes the honest answer is "a link is enough for now". If you need an integration, we describe what data goes where and what happens when something fails.
- Development and testing. We build the payment module on the website side, test payments, cancellations and refunds, and set up notifications and an admin panel section with payment statuses.
- Launch and support. We monitor the first payments and update the integration if Kaspi changes its terms. For websites we have built, this is covered by 24 months of free technical support.
Beyond stores, Kaspi payments also run in our services: on the TanuAward award portal and the Trucking Desk freight portal.
