SEO and Technical Website Audit
An SEO audit shows what is stopping your website from getting traffic from Google and Yandex and leads from visitors: indexing errors, slow loading, duplicate pages, weak structure, poor titles, broken analytics. We check the site manually and with specialised tools, and deliver not an automated export but a clear report with priorities and concrete steps to fix each issue.
An audit starts from 50,000 ₸; the price depends on the size of the site and the depth of the review. An audit is useful before starting promotion, before a redesign or a move to a new platform, after a drop in traffic and when changing contractors.
At Studio Nomad audits are carried out by SEO specialists together with developers. So we don't just find problems — we understand how to fix them on your platform and what it will cost, and we can make the fixes ourselves if needed.

What we check
Technical health
- indexing: robots.txt, the sitemap, sections open or closed to search, pages in the Google and Yandex index;
- server response codes, broken links, redirect chains, pages that return an “empty” response instead of a 404 error;
- duplicates: URLs with and without www, with and without a trailing slash, with parameters or different letter case; canonical links;
- HTTPS and mixed content, language versions and hreflang markup;
- schema.org structured data: organisation, services, products, breadcrumbs, FAQs;
- how content is served to search bots on sites built with JavaScript frameworks.
Speed and mobile
- PageSpeed Insights and Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) on key page templates;
- page weight, uncompressed images without dimensions, fonts, third-party scripts, server caching and compression;
- mobile usability: readability, button sizes, forms, layout shifts.
Structure and content
- whether important queries have their own pages and whether pages compete with each other;
- titles, descriptions and H1s: empty, duplicated, too long, missing keywords or the city;
- the volume and quality of copy, thin pages, internal linking, images without alt text.
Usability and the path to a lead
We go through key scenarios as an ordinary visitor would: find a service or product, compare options, leave a request or place an order — on desktop and on a phone. We note where the path breaks: an unclear button, unnecessary form fields, an error on submit, no price, timing or contacts where people look for them.
Commercial factors, competitors and analytics
- prices, contacts, lead forms, terms and work samples — everything that affects trust and conversion;
- comparison with the sites ranking at the top for your queries: structure, content volume, features;
- company listings in Google Business Profile, 2GIS and Yandex Business, and a consistent address and phone number;
- the link profile: where links come from and whether any look suspicious;
- whether counters, goals and data in Google Search Console and Yandex Webmaster are set up correctly.
What you get after the audit
- A report on the issues found. Each comes with a plain-language description, example URLs where it occurs, and why it matters for search or for visitors.
- Priorities. Issues are split into critical (blocking indexing or losing leads), important and nice-to-have, so you start with what has the most impact.
- Fix recommendations. Specific: what to change, on which pages, and what the correct version should look like. The report can go straight to a developer.
- Effort estimates. We are developers, so we can tell which fixes take an hour and which require reworking templates or changing platforms.
- A plan for the coming months. The order of work: what to fix right away, what to handle as part of promotion and what to include in the next redesign.
- An executive summary. One page: the main problems, their impact on the business and what to do first.
- A walkthrough. We go through the report with you or your developer and answer questions.
What audits find most often: service pages with no H1 or with identical titles, a site that opens at several addresses, a sitemap missing most of the pages, a slow first screen on mobile, and lead forms whose submissions are not tracked in analytics. Each of these is barely noticeable on its own, but together they noticeably hold growth back.
We don't hand over a long export from a checking tool with hundreds of unexplained “warnings”. We use automated tools to collect data, but conclusions and priorities come from a specialist who understands how websites are built from the inside.
Audit stages and timing
- Brief. We learn your goals: traffic growth, preparing for a redesign, the reasons for a drop, checking a contractor's work. We define which sections and queries matter.
- Access. We ask for guest access to Google Search Console, Yandex Webmaster and analytics. An audit is possible without it, but impression and indexing data will be incomplete.
- Site crawl. We crawl every page with specialised tools and collect response codes, headings, redirects, duplicates and page weight.
- Manual review. We examine key templates — the home page, service sections, categories and product pages, articles — and look at them the way a search bot does.
- Speed and mobile. We measure real pages and find exactly what slows loading down.
- Competitors and queries. We compare the site with the search leaders and check which queries have no suitable page on your site.
- Report and walkthrough. We prepare a prioritised document with recommendations and hold a meeting to go through the results.
The timing depends on the size of the site and the depth of the review: a service site with a few dozen pages and an online store with thousands of products need different amounts of time. We give the exact timeline when you order and fix it in the contract.
What to prepare: the site address and its language versions, guest access to Search Console, Webmaster and analytics, a list of the services or categories that matter most to the business, and — if there was a migration or a traffic drop — the approximate date and what changed at the time.
How much an audit costs
A website SEO audit starts from 50,000 ₸. We give the final price after looking at the site and discussing your goals.
What the cost depends on:
- Site size. The number of pages and templates: a business card site, a corporate website, an online store with filters and thousands of products, a portal with user accounts.
- Depth of review. A technical audit only, or a full SEO audit with analysis of competitors, structure and queries.
- Language versions. Russian, Kazakh, English — each has to be checked separately, including language markup.
- Additional tasks. Preparing a move to a new domain or platform, investigating a traffic drop, checking the usability of key scenarios.
Technical or full audit
A technical audit is usually enough if traffic dropped sharply, a migration is being prepared or you need to check a contractor's work: it answers the question “what is broken”. A full SEO audit is needed when the site works without obvious errors but isn't growing: it adds analysis of competitors, queries and structure and answers “what is missing to overtake those ranking above us”.
An audit is a one-off job with a clear result. Afterwards you decide whether to fix the issues yourself, hand them to your developer or to us. If the audit shows you need a new site or a redesign, it can be paid for in installments for up to 12 months with no bank and no markup. Development prices are on the Order a website page.
When you need a website audit
- Traffic or rankings have dropped. An audit helps find the cause: a technical failure after an update, sections blocked from indexing, lost pages, changes in search results or competitor activity.
- You are about to start promotion. Without an audit, the budget may go on content and links while technical errors keep the site from growing.
- A redesign or migration is planned. Before changing the design, platform or domain, you need to record which pages bring traffic and prepare a 301 redirect map, or rankings can be lost.
- A migration has happened and traffic fell. We check whether all old URLs are redirected and whether copy, headings and structured data survived.
- The site has several language versions. We check that the Kazakh and English versions are indexed, correctly marked up and not competing with the Russian version for the same queries.
- You are changing contractors or buying a site. An audit shows the real state of the site and the amount of work ahead.
- Ads are getting more expensive and leads are scarce. Slow landing pages and awkward forms make every click cost more; an audit shows what is hurting conversion.
- A new site is about to launch. We check the staging version before release: are redirects, analytics, meta tags and the sitemap in place, and will the site stay blocked from indexing after launch by mistake.
- The site is new and slow to appear in search. We check indexing, settings and the signals search engines receive.
If you are not sure whether you need an audit right now, describe your situation and we will suggest where to start and whether it is worth the budget.
After the audit: fixes and next steps
The report is written so that you can work from it without us. But if it is easier to give the fixes to one team, we can take them on.
- Technical fixes. Redirects, duplicates, the sitemap, structured data, faster loading, template changes. For sites we didn't build, this is conveniently arranged as technical support with a monthly scope of work.
- Promotion. If the audit shows growth potential, the next step is SEO promotion: keywords, new pages, content, local SEO and monthly reports.
- Redesign. When there are too many issues or the platform doesn't allow fixing them, it is cheaper to renew the whole site. We do a redesign with a redirect map, carrying over everything that already ranks.
- A new site. If the site is not fit for growth at all, we will suggest the format and budget for a new one — see website development in Almaty and corporate websites.
- Integrations. If the audit reveals that requests and orders get lost between the site and accounting, Kaspi, 1C and MoySklad integration will help.
A few months after the fixes it is worth running a follow-up check: it shows what has changed and helps plan the next stage.
Why Studio Nomad
- SEO specialists and developers together. We see not only the symptoms but the cause in the code, and know right away how to remove it on your platform.
- Experience with technically complex projects. More than 70 projects in our portfolio: corporate websites, online stores, portals, CRM systems. We know how sites on Laravel, Nuxt, Next.js and popular CMSs are built and where their typical weak spots are.
- Migrations without losing rankings. When moving sites to a new platform we set up 301 redirects from all old URLs — as we did, for example, for the Risk Expert insurance company website.
- Speed and SEO structure in our own projects. On the Qazaqline Logistics, Olam Avto and Doctors Hunter sites we built in fast loading and an SEO-friendly structure during development, and we check other sites against the same criteria.
- An objective view. If another contractor built the site, we also note what was done well, so that fixes don't break it.
- A clear result. A report with priorities and effort estimates, not hundreds of lines from an automated tool.
- Contract-based work and an office in Almaty; we work with clients from other cities online.
