Website development for logistics and transport companies
Shippers choose a carrier based on four questions: do you serve the route I need, how much does it cost, how many days will delivery take, and where is my cargo right now? A logistics company website should answer the first three before the client calls a manager, and the fourth after dispatch, without "where's my truck?" calls. Studio Nomad builds websites and portals for transport, logistics and freight forwarding companies: from a corporate website with a shipping quote request to a platform with accounts for clients, carriers and dispatchers.
In logistics, our portfolio includes the corporate website of the transport and logistics company Qazaqline Logistics, the Trucking Desk freight portal with a mobile app for iOS and Android, and the Tang Nur logistics portal for freight from China with a client account. For warehouse logistics, we built a WMS for KAZMINERALS from scratch.
A logistics company website costs from 500,000 ₸, the same as a corporate website. A portal with user accounts and online cost calculation starts from 800,000 ₸. We write our own code without templates, work under a contract and provide a 24-month warranty with free technical support, and you can pay in parts — installments with no banks and no markup for up to 12 months.

Our logistics and freight projects
Three projects of different scale — from a website that brings in leads to a platform that runs the whole shipping chain. Descriptions are based on the cases in our portfolio.
- Qazaqline Logistics — corporate website of a transport and logistics company working in freight, logistics and foreign trade. Service sections: international shipping, road logistics, freight forwarding, foreign trade support and custom logistics solutions. The website has a quick shipping quote request, light and dark themes that remember the user's choice, a responsive layout, an admin panel for services, copy and contacts, an SEO-ready structure and readiness for CRM and analytics integration. Stack: Laravel and Vue 3; timeline: 10 working days.
- Trucking Desk — a freight portal that brings together carriers, dispatchers and clients. Accounts for each role, order creation and tracking, route selection based on cost and timing, a map with distance and travel time calculation, ratings and reviews, a finance module with automatic shipping cost calculation and payment systems, role-based access and data encryption, and a mobile app for iOS and Android. Timeline: 80 working days.
- Tang Nur — a logistics portal for freight from China, built from scratch. In the client account, the client goes through the whole process — from signing the contract to monitoring the loading of goods with photos and videos of the delivery. A unique design with animations; stack: Nuxt, Vue and Laravel. Timeline: 60 working days.
What a logistics company website needs
Logistics clients are mostly B2B: procurement managers, business owners, importers. They need to quickly understand whether you can handle their cargo and get a quote. The blocks we plan most often:
- Services by mode of transport. Road, rail, air and multimodal shipping, consolidated cargo, containers, freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing — a separate page for each with terms, transit times and cargo types.
- Destinations and routes. Pages for popular routes — for example, China–Kazakhstan or Kazakhstan–Europe — with estimated transit times and consolidation points.
- Quote request. A form with origin and destination cities, weight, volume, cargo type and delivery terms (Incoterms). It can be kept short, with details clarified later in the CRM.
- Cargo tracking by order or waybill number — more in the next section.
- Fleet and resources. Vehicle types, payload capacity, warehouses, partner network — facts that show scale without big words.
- Documents. A sample contract, company details, a list of documents for shipping and customs, cargo insurance terms.
- Industries and cases. What cargo you already carry and for whom — a stronger argument than any promise.
- Languages and messengers. Russian, Kazakh and English versions, plus Chinese if you work with China. Quick WhatsApp and Telegram buttons, because many requests arrive there.
Calculator, quote request and cargo tracking
Cost calculation and cargo status are the two features that bring clients back to the website. They can be built at different levels, depending on how pricing and accounting work in your company.
Quote request
The client enters the route and cargo details, and the manager gets the request in the CRM and replies with an exact price. This is the fastest start — it is how the Qazaqline Logistics website works. To make sure no request is lost, we collect submissions from the form, WhatsApp and Telegram in one CRM, tagged by source.
Rate-based calculator
If you have a rate table by route, weight and volume, the calculator shows an estimated price right on the website, and the manager edits rates in the admin panel without a developer. For consolidated cargo it can account for volumetric weight, for containers — the container type, and for road freight — the trailer type and extra services: insurance, loading, customs clearance.
Automatic calculation and payment
In the Trucking Desk portal, the shipping cost is calculated automatically in the finance module, the route is plotted on a map with distance and travel time, and the order can be paid online. This level is needed when the website becomes a working tool for clients and carriers. We connect online payments via Kaspi and banks as described on our Kaspi and 1C integration page.
Cargo tracking
The basic option: the manager updates statuses in the admin panel, and the client sees them by order number and gets notifications by email or messenger. The next level: statuses come automatically from your TMS, 1C or GPS trackers, if the system has an API. The Tang Nur portal's client account includes loading monitoring with photos and videos of the delivery process. The more clients can see on their own, the fewer "where's my cargo?" calls you get.
Portal, user accounts and integrations
When several parties take part in the process — client, forwarder, carrier, warehouse — the website becomes a portal. That is a different class of project, with a benchmark price from 800,000 ₸ — see portal and web service development.
- Client account. Orders and their statuses, contracts, invoices and closing documents, shipment history and reports. In Tang Nur, the client goes from signing the contract to monitoring loading in their account.
- Carrier and dispatcher accounts. Order management, cargo statuses, deal history and reports — as in Trucking Desk, where carriers, dispatchers and clients each have their own section. If needed, we add an order feed and vehicle-to-trip assignment.
- Maps and routes. Route on a map, distance and travel time. Trucking Desk also takes road congestion and weather into account.
- Ratings and reviews. If the portal works as a freight exchange, ratings of carriers and clients build participants' reputations.
- Finance. Automatic cost calculation, online payment, financial reporting. The Trucking Desk stack includes Kaspi Pay and Halyk Pay.
- Security. Role-based access, encryption of transmitted data, monitoring of suspicious activity.
- Mobile app. Drivers and dispatchers find it easier to work from a smartphone: Trucking Desk has an app for iOS and Android. More on our mobile app development page.
We connect the website and portal to the systems you already use: CRM (Bitrix24, amoCRM), 1C, TMS, warehouse accounting. If you need your own system — for orders, fleet or warehouse — we build it as a separate project, with a benchmark from 1,500,000 ₸; see business automation. An example is the KAZMINERALS WMS: multiple warehouses and storage zones, bin-location storage, receiving, putaway, transfers and shipping, barcode scanner support and two-way data exchange with Oracle ERP.
How a logistics website brings in clients
People search for logistics services in specific terms: "freight from China", "container shipping Almaty", "consolidated cargo to Russia", "customs clearance". Each query has its own audience and deserves its own page.
- A page for every service and route. A separate URL, title and description for each "service + route" combination, so the website can show up for narrow queries, not just the company name.
- SEO-ready structure from day one. Clean URLs, meta tags, organization and contact markup, fast loading — as in the Qazaqline Logistics project, where the structure was prepared for promotion from the start.
- Local presence. Consistent addresses, phone numbers and opening hours on the website, Google Business Profile and 2GIS, plus a map of offices and warehouses.
- Lead analytics. GA4, Yandex Metrica and ad pixels with goals: calculation, request, call, messenger click.
- Language versions with separate URLs — for foreign shippers and partners.
- Ad landing pages — landing pages for specific routes or seasonal offers.
We build all of this in during development, and after launch the website can grow through SEO promotion. If you already have a website but it brings few requests, start with an audit.
Stages, timelines and cost
- Research. We look at your modes of transport and routes, how prices are calculated today, who handles requests and which systems are already in place.
- Structure and prototype. Sitemap, calculator and form logic, account scenarios if needed. We fix features, stages and timelines in the contract.
- Design. A business-like interface for a B2B audience in your corporate style, focused on quote requests and calculation.
- Development and integrations. Admin panel for services, routes, rates and statuses, calculator, forms, CRM, maps, payments.
- Testing. We check calculations for different routes and cargo parameters, forms, roles and access, and how everything works on a smartphone.
- Launch and support. Publishing, analytics, redirects from the old website, 24 months of technical support.
Timelines in our logistics cases: the Qazaqline Logistics corporate website — 10 working days, the Tang Nur portal — 60, the Trucking Desk portal — 80 working days. We give the exact timeline for your project after the brief and fix it in the contract.
To start, we will need: a list of services and routes, rates or pricing rules, your logo and corporate style, photos of your fleet and warehouses, company details and documents, and access to your CRM, 1C or TMS if integration is planned.
Cost. A website for a logistics, transport or freight forwarding company costs from 500,000 ₸. The price depends on the number of services and routes, calculator complexity, language versions and integrations. Benchmarks for related tasks:
- a portal with client and carrier accounts, online calculation and tracking — from 800,000 ₸;
- a custom CRM or shipping and warehouse management system — from 1,500,000 ₸.
You can pay in parts: installments with no banks and no markup, up to 12 months depending on the project. Get a preliminary estimate on the order a website page.
